Each pint of Guinness should take exactly 119.5 seconds to pour and follows a number of distinct stages. If it’s not poured right, it won’t look right and it won’t taste right. So, achieving the perfect pint isn’t just about how it looks when it’s ready – it’s taking the right steps to get there.

Slide Take a cool, dry Guinness branded glass. Glass Hold the glass firmly at 45° under the tap. Tilt Pull the handle fully forward towards you. Slowly straighten the glass as it fills. Stop pouring when liquid hits the top of the harp. Pull Leave the surge to settle allowing the creamy head to form. Settle Topup the glass by pushing the tap handle away from you Top-up Present the perfect pint to the customer. Perfect
